None appears for the Petitioner at the time of call. 3.
The Petitioner in this writ petition seeks to assail the notice to show cause dated 22nd July, 2021 (Annexure-4) issued by the Taxing Officer and Regional Transport Officer, Mayurbhanj.

On the last occasion, i.e. on 5th July, 2022, this matter was adjourned directing Mr. Behera, learned Standing Counsel for the Transport Department to take instruction as to whether final order pursuant to the notice dated 22nd July, 2021 has been passed.

Mr. Behera, learned Standing Counsel for the Transport Department, on instruction, submits that the matter is still pending with the Taxing Officer and R.T.O., Mayurbhanj as the Petitioner has not responded to the notice to show cause. If the Petitioner submits his reply to the show cause notice under Annexure-4, a decision shall be taken in that regard in accordance with law.

In view of the submission made by Mr. Behera, learned Standing Counsel for the Transport Department, this Court is of the considered opinion that no fruitful purpose will be served by keeping the matter pending awaiting appearance of learned counsel for the Petitioner.

This writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of with a direction that in the event the Petitioner files his reply to the notice to show cause dated 22nd July, 2021 (Annexure-4) issued by the Taxing Officer and R.T.O., Mayurbhanj within a period of fifteen days hence, the same shall be considered and final decision shall be taken in accordance with law. Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
