Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Addl. Standing Counsel for the State.

The petitioner has approached this Court with the following prayer:

"It is, therefore, prayed that this Hon'ble Court may graciously be pleased to admit the writ application, call upon the opposite parties to show cause and upon their failure to show cause or showing insufficient cause, this Hon'ble Court may further be pleased to issue an appropriate writ/writs, order/orders and direction/directions, to quash the impugned quash the notification published vide Form-"Kha", dated 12.06.2022/ANNEXURE-4 and/or directing the Opp. Party No.4 to reassess the nomination paper of the petitioner upon extending an opportunity of participation and hearing in terms of Rule-9 of The Orissa CoOperative Societies (Election to the Committee) Rules, 1992.

This Hon'ble Court may also be pleased to issue such other/further order/direction/writ as may be deemed just and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case;"

Having regard to the fact that the election is scheduled to be held on 26th June, 2022, the writ petition is disposed of

directing the petitioner to appear before the Election Officer, Biratunga Co-operative Societies, Puri (opposite party No.4) on 22.06.2022 and file an application ventilating his grievance, which shall be considered in accordance with law on the same day.
