This matter is taken up through Hybrid Arrangement (Virtual /Physical Mode).

This is an application under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure filed by the Petitioner for bail in connection with Ranpur P.S.Case No.55 of 2021, corresponding to Special G.R. Case No.42 of 2021, pending in the Court of the learned Special Judgecum-Sessions Judge, Nayagarh for alleged commission of offence under Sections 20(b)(ii)(C) of N.D.P.S.Act.

Learned counsel for the Petitioner prays that the trial court be directed to expedite the trial and the same be concluded within a stipulated period of time.

Considering the aforesaid submissions, this Court directs the trial court to expedite trial and conclude the same as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of four months. In the event trial is not concluded within the aforesaid period, it is open for the

// 2 // Petitioner to move an application for bail and in the event such a bail application is filed the same shall be considered in accordance with law.
