Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Addl. Standing Counsel for the State.

The petitioner is in custody since 09.04.2022 in connection with Kujang P.S. Case No.296 of 2021 corresponding to G.R. Case No.881 of 2021 pending in the Court of learned J.M.F.C. (P), Kujang for the alleged commission of offence under Section 394 of IPC read with Section 25/27 of Arms Act.

It is alleged that the petitioner and two other persons threatened the informant on the point of a gun at his head and took away a chain, cash of Rs. 3,000/- and a mobile phone etc. They also assaulted the informant by means of a gun causing bleeding injuries. The mobile phone has since been recovered from one of the co-accused persons.

Considering the submissions, materials on record and the period of detention in custody, I am inclined to allow the prayer for bail. Let the petitioner be released on bail on such terms and

conditions as the court in seisin over the matter may deem fit and proper to impose including the condition that he shall personally appear before the trial Court on each date of posting of the case without fail. Further he shall appear before the IIC of Kujang Police Station on every Monday at 10 a.m. for a period of six months 6.

BLAPL is accordingly disposed of.
