1. This matter is taken up through Video Conferencing mode.

2. Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State.

3. The petitioners have filed this CRLMC seeking a direction to the learned J.M.F.C., Jaleswar for early disposal of the petition filed by them on 02.12.2019 for chemical test of the seized item in 2(b)CC Case No.42 of 2019.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners have filed a petition on 02.12.2019 for chemical test of the seized item i.e. 'Lakha'. But the same is still pending before the learned J.M.F.C., Jaleswar. Hence, he submits that the petitioners have prayed for early disposal of the said petition.

5. Since the petition filed by the petitioner is not old one and during the intervening crisis caused by COVID-19, the same could not be disposed of, this Court is not inclined to entertain the prayer of the petitioners.

6. Hence, the CRLMC is dismissed.

7. As the restrictions due to resurgence of Covid-19 are continuing, learned counsel for the parties may utilize a printout of the order available in the High Court's website, at par with certified copy, subject to attestation by the Advocate concerned with his/her seal, in the manner prescribed vide Court's Notice No.4587 dated 25th March, 2020 and Court's Office Order dated 7th January, 2022.
