This matter is taken up through Hybrid Mode.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the State.

The petitioner while working as Gram Rozagar Sevak (GRS) of Nimani Gram Panchayat was served with a Show Cause notice dated 31.03.2022 issued by the Collector, Nayagarh by which he was asked to submit his explanation as to why he shall not be disengaged from the post of GRS.

Considering the explanation, by order dated 4.06.2022 at Annexure-5, the Collector-cum-CEO, Zilla Parishad, Nayagarh (O.P.No.2) has disengaged the petitioner from his contractual post of GRS w.e.f. 4.06.2022.

Assailing the same the petitioner is stated to have made a representation to the Principal Secretary to Government,
Panchayat Raj & Drinking Water Department, Odisha by registered post on 10.06.2022.

Keeping in view the limited nature of grievance, this Court directs the Principal Secretary to Government, Panchayat Raj & Drinking Water Department, Government of Odisha (O.P.No.1) to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass a reasoned order relating to his grievance after giving him/his representative an opportunity of hearing.

The exercise be completed within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt/production of the certified copy of this order. To facilitate such consideration, the petitioner under takes to submit the copy of the writ petition along with its annexure. 8.
The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. 9.
Urgent certified copy of this order be granted as per rules.
