This matter is taken up through hybrid arrangement (virtual/physical mode).

2. Mr. L. Samantaray, learned counsel for the Contemnor submits that this Court vide order dated 8th September, 2020 passed in W.P.(C) No.22055 of 2020 had directed the competent authority to examine the claim of the petitioners for payment of rehabilitation assistance in terms of R & R Policy, being displaced persons on account of construction of Lower Indra Irrigation Project, Khariar. He submits that on an enquiry conducted by the Director, (R & R)-cum-Addl.

// 2 // Government of Odisha, Department of Water Resources, it was found that the petitioners had submitted forged documents qua their date of birth in order to avail the benefit under the R & R Policy. He further submits that the said forgery may even require lodging of first F.I.R.

At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioners does not press the present contempt.

3. In view of the above, the CONTC is accordingly dismissed.
