Heard Ms. S. Mohakuda, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. D.K. Mohanty, learned Additional Standing Counsel.

According to Ms. Mohakuda, the petitioner is aggrieved by the manner in which investigation is going on in connection with Khandagiri P.S. Case No.521 dated 07.10.2021 registered for commission of offences under Sections 323/294/420/379/ 506/34 of I.P.C. She submits that the investigating officer is not taking the matter seriously and further submits that though highlighting all his grievances, the petitioner has approached the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Bhubaneswar (opposite party No.3) on 29.04.2022 by filing a grievance petition vide Annexure-2 series which was duly acknowledged by his Office on 29.04.2022, however, till date nothing has been done in the matter. In such background, she prays that a direction be issued to the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Bhubaneswar to take a decision on the grievance petition of the petitioner within

// 2 // a specific time period.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Bhubaneswar to take a decision on the grievance petition dated 29.04.2022 of the petitioner under Annexure-2 series in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner.

Accordingly, this CRLMP is disposed of.

Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
