This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned counsel for the State.

The petitioners are accused in Special G.R. Case No.42 of 2021 arising out of Ranpur P.S. Case No.55 of 2021, pending on the files of learned Special Judge-cum-Sessions Judge, Nayagarh, under Sections 20(b)(ii)(C) of the NDPS Act and is in custody since 31.03.2021.

Taking into account the quantity of contraband seized and the role ascribed to the petitioners, this Court is not inclined to entertain this bail application.

Accordingly, the BLAPL stands rejected.

Keeping in view the petitioners are in custody since 31.03.2021, learned Court in seisin over the matter shall do well to expedite the trial.
