This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned counsel for the State.

The petitioner are accused in connection with 2(a) CC No.102 of 2022, on the files of learned Nayadhikari Gramya Nayalaya, Puri, arising out of Puri Excise P.R. P.S. Case No.3/2223 of 2022 under Sections 52(a) of Odisha Excise Act, 2008. and is in custody since 08.04.2022.

Being aggrieved by the rejection of their application for bail U/s.439 Cr.P.C. by the learned Sessions Judge, Puri, by order dated 23.05.2022 in the aforementioned case, the present BLAPL has been filed.

Taking into account the nature of the contraband (Vanga) seized and the punishment prescribed and period of custody, this Court directs the petitioners to be released on bail on such terms to be fixed by the learned Court in seisin over the matter.

Accordingly, the BLAPL stands disposed of.
