1. Learned counsel for the petitioner files the deficit Court fee along with a memo. The same be kept on record.
2. Heard Mr. L.Sahu, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. Ch. Satyajit Mishra, learned Addl. Government Advocate.
3. According to Mr. Sahu, the petitioner is aggrieved by inaction of the authorities in providing him a house to which he is otherwise entitled to under the Rehabilitation & Resettlement Policy, which is applicable to Lower Suktel Irrigation Project. He further submits that though highlighting all his grievances, the petitioner has filed a representation dated 28.2.2022 before the Executive Engineer, Lower Suktel R.R.C. & B Division Balangir (opp. party No.6) vide Annexure-5 series, however, till date nothing has been done. In such background, he prays that a direction be issued to opp. party No.6 to take a decision on the said representation within a specific time period.
4. Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the Executive Engineer, Lower Suktel R.R.C. & B Division, Balangir (opp. party No.6) to take a decision on the above noted representation under
Annexure-5 series in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner.
5. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of.
