Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Addl. Standing Counsel for the State.

The petitioner is in custody since 17.06.2022 in connection with Khurda Excise P.R. Case No. 35 of 2022 corresponding to T.R. Case No. 55 of 2022 pending in the Court of learned Additional Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge, under NDPS Act at Khurda for the alleged commission of offence under Section 21(b) of NDPS Act.

Considering the fact that the seized contraband is less than commercial quantity weighing 26 grams of brown sugar and the fact that that charge sheet has already been submitted, I am inclined to allow the prayer for bail. Let the petitioner be released on bail on such terms and conditions as the court in seisin over the matter may deem fit and proper to impose including the condition that she

shall personally appear before the trial court on each date of posting of the case without fail.

The BLAPL is accordingly disposed of.
