Heard Mr. N. Panda, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. S. Jena, learned Standing Counsel for School and Mass Education Department.

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking direction to opposite party authority to conduct a fresh verification as per the Office Order issued by opposite party no.1 under Annexures-4 and 8 with regard to furnishing the fake certificate. 4.

Mr. S. Jena, learned Standing Counsel for School and Mass Education Department contended that similar matter had come up for consideration before the apex Court in Chief Executive Officer, Bhilai Steel Plant v. Mahesh Kumar Gunnade, 2022 LiveLaw (SC) 572, wherein it has been held that when a person secures appointment on the basis of a fake certificate, he cannot be permitted to retain the benefit of wrongful.
