This matter is taken up through Hybrid Mode.

The petitioner is an accused in connection with 2(a)C.C. Case No. 217 of 2022 arising out of P.R. No. 31 of 2022-23, pending on the file of the learned S.D.J.M., Angul for the alleged commission of offence under Sections-52(a)(i)/59(d) & 62 of the Orissa Excise Act.

Being aggrieved by the rejection of his application for bail U/s. 439 Cr.P.C. by the learned Addl. Sessions Judge, Angul by Order dtd. 22.06.2022 in Bail Application No. 397 of 2022, the present BLAPL has been filed.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Counsel for the State.

Taking into account the nature of accusation and the period of custody, this Court directs the petitioner to be released on bail on such terms and conditions to be fixed by the learned Court in seisin over the matter.

The Bail Application thus stands disposed of. 7.
