Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner and learned Addl. Standing Counsel for the State.

The Petitioner is in custody since 02.03.2022 in connection with Kharvelnagar P.S. Case No.63 of 2022 corresponding to C.T. Case No. 1239 of 2022 pending in the court of learned S.D.J.M., Bhubaneswar for the alleged commission of the offence under Sections 419/420/489(B)/489(C)/489(E) of IPC. 4.

It is alleged that the petitioner induced the informant to pay a sum of Rs. 75,000/- on the pretext of arranging a job for him, but the job could not be arranged. The petitioner is said to have refunded the amount, but in counterfeit currency.

Considering the fact that charge sheet has already been submitted and the petitioner has spent more than six months in custody by now, I am inclined to allow the prayer for bail. 6.

Let the Petitioner be released on bail on such terms and conditions as may be imposed by the court in seisin over the matter in the aforesaid case including the condition that he shall furnish cash security of Rs.50,000/- in the shape of short term fixed deposit in any Nationalized Bank being pledged to the court below. 7.

The BLAPL is accordingly disposed of.
