Heard Mr. D. Mohanty, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. D. Nayak, learned Additional Government Advocate. 2.

According to Mr. Mohanty, the petitioner, who is the informant, is aggrieved by the manner in which investigation is going on in connection with Baliguda P.S. Case No.77 of 2022 registered for commission of offence under Section 379 I.P.C. He further submits that though highlighting all his grievances, the petitioner has approached the Superintendent of Police, Kandhamal on 09.06.2022 by filing a grievance petition vide Annexure-4 and though receipt of such grievance petition has been acknowledged on 10.06.2022 vide Sl. No.51, however, till date nothing has been done in the matter. In such background, he prays that a direction be issued to the Superintendent of Police, Kandhamal to take a decision on the grievance petition of the petitioner within a specific time period. 3.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court

// 2 // directs the Superintendent of Police, Kandhamal to take a decision on the grievance petition dated 09.06.2022 of the petitioner under Annexure-4 in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order, if in the meantime, the same has not been disposed of and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner.

Accordingly, this CRLMP is disposed of.

Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
