This matter is taken up through Hybrid Arrangement (Virtual /Physical Mode).

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State.

The present application has been filed with the following prayer: "The Petitioner therefore prays that Your Lordships may graciously be pleased to direct the Opp.Parties to consider the grievance petition and revaluate as early as possible taking into Annexure-4 with all consequential service and financial benefits within a stipulated time.

And may pass such order/directions as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper"

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the Petitioner that Petitioner appeared in the selection test for appointment to the post of Civil Constable in the district of Nabarangpur district . Accordingly the Petitioner appeared in the written examination. In the written examination the Petitioner had appeared and while writing his Roll number in the OMR sheet some mistake crept in in the answer sheet inadvertently as a result of which final result of the Petitioner was not published. Therefore his case for selection was not considered for the

Referring to a letter dated 27.11.2019 written by the Superintendent of Police to I.G. of Police (Personnel), Odisha submits that awaiting instruction from the I.G. (Personnel), Cuttack, the Superintendent of Police, Nabarangpur has not taken any action on the representation submitted by the present Petitioner. Thereafter the Petitioner has approached the authority on several occasions by submitting his representation/reminders to consider his case. However no action has been taken in the said matter.

Learned Additional Standing Counsel on the other hand submits that final result of the aforesaid examination has already been published in the year 2018. However, learned Additional Standing Counsel does not have any objection if a direction is given to the Opposite Party No.3 to consider the request made under Annexure-4 and take a decision in the matter in accordance with law.

Considering the aforesaid submissions of the learned counsel for both parties, this Court disposes of the writ application at the stage of admission directing the Opposite Party No.3 to take a final decision on the request made in letter dated 27.11.2019 under Annexure-4 within a period of six weeks from the date of production of certified copy of this order. The decision so taken shall be communicated to the Petitioner within two weeks thereafter.

This Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case.

With the aforesaid observation, the writ application stands disposed of.
