Heard Mr. P.C. Jena, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. D.K. Mohanty, learned Additional Standing Counsel. 2.

According to Mr. Jena, the petitioner is aggrieved by the non-registration of her F.I.R. i.e. Talchua Marine P.S. Case No.46 of 2022 under the appropriate provisions of law. According to Mr. Jena, the F.I.R. should also have been registered for commission of offences under Section 307 I.P.C. in the facts and circumstances of the case.

Mr. D.K. Mohanty submits that for redressal of such grievances, the petitioner should have approached the Superintendent of Police, Kendrapara (opposite party No.2) instead of rushing to this Court.

In such background, Mr. Jena submits that liberty may be granted to the petitioner to approach the Superintendent of Police, Kendrapara (opposite party No.2) in the matter by filing a grievance petition and the said opposite party be directed to take a decision on such motion within a specific time period.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court grants liberty to the petitioner to file a grievance petition before opposite party No.2 through registered post within a period of two weeks from today. In the event, such a petition is filed along with a copy of this order, the opposite party No.2 is directed to take a decision on the same in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of such grievance petition and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner.

Accordingly, this CRLMP is disposed of.

Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
