Heard Mr. S.P. Pani, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. A.K. Nanda, learned Additional Government Advocate. 2.

According to Mr. Pani, though the petitioner has received the compensation amount on protest on 05.11.2021 and claimed payment of enhanced compensation by sending a representation under Annexure-4 to the District Collector, Sundargarh (opposite party No.2) through registered post on 02.02.2022 however, till date the opposite party No.2 has not taken any decision on the above noted representation. In such background, he prays that that a direction be issued to the Collector and District Magistrate, Sundargarh to take a decision on the above noted representation within a specific time period. 3.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the Collector and District Magistrate, Sundargarh (opposite party No.2) to take a decision on the above noted representation of the petitioner under Annexure-4 in accordance

// 2 // with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner.

Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. 5.

Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application in course of the day.
