Heard Mr. R.K. Sahu, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. Ch. S. Mishra, learned Additional Government Advocate.

According to Mr. Sahu, the petitioner, who is a senior citizen, is aggrieved by the quantum of compensation he has been offered in connection with acquisition of his land for the purpose of widening of National Highway No. 23. 3.

During course of hearing, Mr. Sahu submits that liberty may be granted to the petitioner to file a representation afresh highlighting his grievances before the Collector & District Magistrate, Deogarh and prays that the Collector be directed to take a decision on such motion within a specific time period. 4.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court grants liberty to the petitioner to file a comprehensive representation before the Collector & District Magistrate,

// 2 // Deogarh through Speed Post/Registered Post within a period of two weeks from today. In the event, such a representation is filed along with a copy of this order, the Collector is directed to take a decision on such representation in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of such representation and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. 6.

Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
