Heard learned counsel for the Parties.

Short question involves herein, the Petitioner seeks a Mandamus directing the Postal Authority involved herein for release of his Pass Book.

From Annexure-5, it appears, for loss of life of the Account Petitioner continued through the policy system, vide Annexure-5, the Petitioner was provided opportunity to re-activate the policy as well as the Passbook involved by making the arrear along with interest of a sum of Rs.2096/-. Even through there is a technical defect in Annexure-5, this Court finds, the Petitioner is yet to comply with the same. From Annexure-4, it appears, the Petitioner has requested the Authority sending certain papers and requesting therein for releasing
// 2 // the corrected Pass Book. This Court from Annexure-5 and the direction therein by way of opportunity to the Petitioner finds, the Petitioner is yet to comply with the necessity already advised to the Petitioner, vide Annexure-5.

In the circumstance, this Court finds, there is no revival of the policy resulting in no operation and maintenance of Pass Book. In the circumstance, the claim of the Petitioner cannot be acceded to. The Writ Petition thus stands dismissed.
