This matter is taken up today in the National Lok Adalat through hybrid mode.

Learned counsels for the appellants - claimants and respondent - Insurance Company are present. The memo in support of the compromise between the parties is kept in the record.

The learned 2nd M.A.C.T., N.D., Sambalpur in MAC Case No. 225 of 2008 (S.B.P.) had directed the respondent to pay an amount of Rs.6,30,000/- (Rupees six lakhs thirty thousand) only to the Appellants-Claimants alongwith interest at the rate of 6% per annum from the date of filing i.e. 24.12.2008 till date of payment.

It is now agreed that a further consolidated amount of Rs.9,00,000/- (Rupees nine lakhs) only shall be paid by the insurance company to the Appellants-Claimants within a period of eight weeks.

It is therefore directed that the respondent-insurance company shall deposit the aforesaid further consolidated amount of Rs.9,00,000/- (Rupees nine lakhs) only within a period of eight weeks from today before the Tribunal. The Tribunal shall apportion the amount among the Appellants-Claimants. 5.

As the settlement is arrived at before the National Lok Adalat, no court fee shall be levied.

The MACA is accordingly disposed of.

Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
