Mr. M.R.Nayak, learned counsel for the petitioners has paid Rs.50/- towards Advocate's Welfare Fund along with a memo in Court today. The same be kept on record. On the oral prayer, Mr. Nayak is also permitted to correct the description of the name of petitioner No.2 in the cause title of the writ petition in Court today. 2.

Heard Mr.M.R.Nayak, learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr.D.K.Mohanty, learned Addl. Standing Counsel for the State. 3.

According to Mr.Nayak, learned counsel for the petitioners, the petitioners are aggrieved by non-disposal of their application dated 18.01.2021 under Annexure-2 series, pending before the Tahasildar, Mahakalapada (opposite party No.3), wherein they have made a prayer for settlement of government land in their favour. Though such application of theirs has been registered against Diary No.75 of 2021, but till date, the matter remains pending causing great harassment to the petitioners. In such background, he prays that a direction be issued to the Tahasildar, Mahakalapada (opposite party No.3) to take a decision on the above noted application within a specific time period.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the Tahasildar, Mahakalapada (opposite party No.3) to take a decision on the above noted application in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of the certified copy of this order and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioners.

With the above observation and direction, the writ petition is disposed of.
