Heard Mr. B.P.B.Bahali, learned counsel for the Petitioners and Mr. A.P.Das, learned Addl. Standing Counsel for the State.

The Petitioners have filed the present Writ Petition with the following prayer:- "(i) Issue writ in the nature of mandamus or any other appropriate writ directing the Opp. Party No.2 and 3 to disburse the arrear outstanding revised scale of pay on the basis of 6th Pay Commission with effect due from 01.01.2016 till 31.12.2010 in favour of the petitioners within a stipulated period of time. (ii) Further be pleased to direct the Opp.

Party Nos.2 and 3 to pay 18 % interest per annual on the arrear dues of the petitioners from the date of entitlement till the date of payment".

Considering the fact that with regard to self-same relief, the Petitioners have approached the Opposite Party No.2 vide Annexure-4, this Court directs the Opposite Party No.2 to take a decision on the same within a period of three

// 2 // months from the date of receipt of this order. However it is observed that while taking such a decision, the said opposite party shall follow the direction of this Court as passed on 26.03.2019 in W.P.(C) No.8608 of 2010 and W.P.(C) No.30256 of 2011 in the case of Mayadhar Pradhan & Others vs. State of Orissa & Others. 5.

With the aforesaid observations and directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of.
