Mr. Panda, learned advocate appears on behalf of petitioner and submits, his client had made application for victim compensation on 1st December 2020. It transpires that on the same day the District Legal Services Authority registered the application as a victim compensation application and called for the case record from concerned Court. He prays for direction upon the authority to expeditiously deal with the application and give compensation to his client 2.
Mr. Sharma, learned advocate, Additional Government Advocate appears on behalf of State and submits, appropriate direction be made.

The authority had acted with promptitude on receiving the application but thereafter there has been no movement. 4.
Opposite party no.2 is directed to expeditiously deal with the application and inform petitioner the result, either by causing payment of compensation or the reasons for rejection of her claim, within four weeks of communication.

The writ petition is disposed of.
