Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State.

The petitioner is in custody since 09.12.2020 in connection with Badachana P.S. Case N. 365 of 2020 corresponding to C.T. Case No. 1563 of 2020 pending in the court of learned J.M.F.C. (R), Chandikhol for the alleged commission of offence under Sections 302/212/34 of IPC.

It is alleged that out of a trivial incident, the petitioner and the deceased had a quarrel in course of which, the petitioner sprinkled petrol on the body of the deceased and set fire by throwing a lighted match stick. The deceased died as a result of the injuries. 5.

Considering the nature of accusations and existence of materials prima facie in support thereof, I am not inclined to allow the prayer for bail, which is therefore, rejected. It is open to the

petitioner to renew his prayer after examination of some material witnesses in the case.

The BLAPL is accordingly rejected.
