The Petitioner in this writ petition prays for a direction for early disposal of S.A. No.3331 of 2018 pending before the State Information Commission, Odisha, Bhubaneswar. 3.

Mr. Baug, learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that although the appeal under Section 19(3) of the Right to Information Act, 2005 has been filed since 2018 and there is no legal impediment for early disposal of the same, no step in that regard has yet been taken. Due to pendency of the appeal, the Petitioner is seriously prejudiced. He, therefore, prays for a direction for early disposal of the appeal.

Mr. Dash, learned counsel for the State Information Commission submits that the appeal is pending for hearing and it will be taken up in due course.

In view of the submissions made by learned counsel for the parties, this Court without expressing any opinion on the

// 2 // merits of the submission made, disposes of this writ petition with a direction that in the event the Petitioner files an application for early disposal of S.A. No.3331 of 2018 stating the grounds therein along with certified copy of this order within a period of two weeks, the State Information Commission shall do well to consider such application for early disposal of S.A. No.3331 of 2018 and proceed with the matter in accordance with law. Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
