Perused the record. The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking to quash the order dated 20.12.2006 under Annexure-9, by which the claim of the petitioner to engage him in the post of Class-III/IV regular post has been denied, in pursuance of the order dated 20.09.2006 passed in O.A. No. 478 (c) of 2006. 5.
Mr. H.M. Dhal, learned Addl. Government Advocate contended that S.I. Project is a time bound project and for progress of work, manpower is required. The project after attaining its climax point of execution is now in fag end of the year of completion. Since the project is going with number of surplus hand, a number of displaced persons engaged as temporary workers, were retrenched during 2001 including others being found surplus to the requirement of manpower of project and pursuant to the order dated 17.06.2003 of this Court, Government allowed such retrenched displaced NMR persons to continue in service as such. Therefore, the claim of the petitioner for his
engagement at the closing years of the project works is not tenable.
