This matter is taken up through virtual/physical mode. 2.

The Appellant is stated to be a reporter and was aggrieved against an alleged illegal action and negligence of the police officials, whereby his vehicle was lost from his residence in the Block premises at Nandipada. He stated to have filed WP.(C) No.21207 of 2020 making a grievance for delay in registration of FIR by the police officials and also for recovery of the lost vehicle. The said writ petition was ordered to be disposed of by this Court with a direction to the Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Home Department, Odisha, Bhubaneswar to look into the representation of the Appellant in the aforesaid regard. The said directions led to the passing of an order dated 3rd March, 2021 by the Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Home Department, Odisha, Bhubaneswar, inter alia, holding that the Appellant was in habit of lodging false cases against the police personnel, while finding no substance in the allegations earlier leveled by the Appellant.

The aforesaid order dated 3rd March, 2021 was challenged by the Appellant by filing W.P.(C) No.16475 of 2021, which has been disposed of vide order dated 6th July, 2021 relegating the Appellant to pursue his remedy, if any, before the appropriate forum.

The present Writ Appeal has been filed against the aforesaid order dated 6th July, 2021.

After arguing for some time and having failed to convince us on merits, counsel for the Appellant prays for permission to withdraw the present writ appeal with liberty to the Appellant to seek his available remedies in terms of the order dated 6th July, 2021.

Accordingly, the Writ Appeal is dismissed as withdrawn with the aforesaid liberty.

Issue urgent certified copy as per rules.
