Heard learned counsel for the Parties.

The Writ Petition has been filed with the following prayer:- "(i) This Hon'ble Court may graciously be pleased to issue Writ / Writs by quashing the order vide order dated 17.08.2021 under Annexure-6 since the same has been passed violating Article 311(2)(b) of constitution of India and Rule-828 read with Appendix49 read with 12(c) of Orissa Police Manual and further be pleased direct Opp. Party No.2 to disposed the petitioner's appeal dated 01.09.2021 under Annexure7 within a stipulated time period". 4.

He further submits that through highlighting his grievances, the petitioner has filed an appeal on 01.09.2021 at Annexure-7 to the Writ Petition before the opposite party No.2 but till date nothing

// 2 // has been done in the matter. In such background, he prays that a direction be issued to opposite party no.2 to take a decision on the above noted petition within a specific time period.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs opposite party No.2 to take a decision on the above noted petition in accordance with law within a period of two months from the date of production of certified copy of this order and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner.
