The matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

Heard Mr. S.P. Dash, learned counsel for the Petitioner and Mr. K.K. Das, learned Additional Standing Counsel. 3.

This is an application under Section 439 Cr.P.C. for grant of bail to the Petitioner Basanta Rout in connection with Soso P.S. Case No.101 of 2019 corresponding to Special Case No.91 of 2019 pending in the court of learned Additional Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge, Keonjhar for alleged commission of offence under Section 376(3) of the Indian Penal Code read with Section 6 of POCSO Act. 4.

After hearing both parties and considering the deposition of the victim (P.W.4), I am not inclined to release the Petitioner on bail. Accordingly, his prayer for bail is rejected. 5.

However, as prayed on behalf of the Petitioner, the trial court is directed to take expeditious steps for early disposal of the trial, preferably by end of June, 2023.

The BLAPL is accordingly disposed of.
