Heard learned counsel for the Parties.

The Writ Petition has been filed with the following prayer:- "(i) Directing the Respondents to hold the D.P.C for filing up 21 of Tax Collectors under Puri Municipality by granting necessary permission on consideration of the letter dated 30.11.2021 of Executive Officer under Annexure-5 and the representation of the petitioner under Annexure-6 and promote the petitioner with all consequential service and financial benefits forthwith or within a time to be stipulated by this Hon'ble Court".

He further submits that through highlighting his grievances, the petitioner has filed an appeal on 20.05.2022 under Annexure-6 to the Writ Petition before the opposite party No.2 but till date nothing has been done in the matter. In such background, he

// 2 // prays that a direction be issued to opposite party no.2 to take a decision on the above noted petition within a specific time period.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs opposite party No.2 to take a decision on the above noted petition in accordance with law within a period of two months from the date of production of certified copy of this order and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner.
