This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner and learned counsel for the State.

The Petitioner is an accused in S.T. Case No.198 of 2021 pending on the file of learned 1st Addl. Sessions Judge, Cuttack, arising out of Cuttack Sadar P.S. Case No.555 of 2020 for commission of the offence under Sections 302/449/120B/109/457/380/34 IPC.

Being aggrieved by the rejection of his application for bail U/s.439 Cr.P.C. by the learned 1st Addl. Sessions Judge, Cuttack by order dated 30.06.2022 in the aforementioned case, the present BLAPL has been filed.

Taking into account the role ascribed to the present Petitioner and the rejection of the bail application of the co-accused Muna @ Biswajit Samal by order dated 23.03.2022 in BLAPL

No.1214 of 2022, this Court is not inclined to entertain this bail application.

Accordingly, the BLAPL stands rejected.

7.

Since the Petitioner stated to be in custody from 02.11.2020, the trial may be expedited.
