Heard Mr. J. Behera, learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr. D.K. Mohanty, learned Additional Standing Counsel. 2.
According to Mr. Behera, land measuring Ac. 0.09 dec. under Khata No. 171 of Village- Chudapali, Tahasil No. 439 in the district of Bolangir which was recorded in the name of late husband of petitioner no.1, namely Santosh Purohit, was acquired by the authority for the purpose of construction of Lower Suktel Project and the possession of the same was taken by the authority vide possession Notice No. 2068 dated 28.12.2006. But till date, neither the petitioner no.1, who happens to be the wife of the recorded tenant nor the petitioner no.2, who happens to be the son of the recorded tenant have been shown under the list of "Displaced Family" in order to get benefits under the Orissa Resettlement and Rehabilitation Policy, 2006. He further submits that though the petitioner no.1 has filed a grievance petition on 22.12.2021 under Annexure-2 series before opp. party no.3 praying for allotment of homestead land and though the same was duly acknowledged by the
Receiving Officer, Central Receive Section, Collectorate, Balangir on 27.12.2021, however till date, no decision has been taken on the same. Accordingly, he prays that a direction be issued to the Collector, Bolangir (opp. party no.3) to take a decision on the same within a specific time period.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the opposite party no.3 to take a decision on the above noted representation in accordance with law, within a period of three months from the date of production of certified copy of this order and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner no.1. 4.
The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. 5.
Urgent certified copy of the order be granted on proper application.
