1. This matter is taken up through hybrid arrangement.

2. Heard.

3. Learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that in this Writ Petition, the Petitioner, seeks a direction from this Court to the Opposite Parties to give appointment to him under the Rehabilitation Assistance Scheme as per Odisha Civil Service (Rehabilitation Assistance) Rules, 1990 which was prevailing at the time of death of his father on 16.02.2020 in view of the judgment of the Supreme Court rendered in the case of State of Madhya Pradesh and Ors. -vrs.- Ashish Awasthi1. He further submits that the Petitioner has applied for appointment under the said Scheme on 07.01.2021 to the Opposite 1 2021 (II) OLR (SC) 1072

// 2 // Party No.4/ Block Education Officer, Khaira, in the district of Balasore. Now the said application is pending before the Opposite Party No.4/ District Education Officer, Balasore.

In such view of the matter, the Opposite Party No.4/ District Education Officer, Balasore is directed to dispose of the application dated 07.01.2021 of the Petitioner and pass a reasoned order as per law governing the field within a period of two months from the date of presentation of a copy of this order along with a copy of the Writ Petition.

5. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of.

6. Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
