2. Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner and Mr. Babu, learned counsel for the State-Opp. Parties.

3. The petitioner is aggrieved by the order dated 12.7.2022 passed by the Collector, Kalahandi under Annexure-2.

4. It is submitted that vide the said order, though the petitioner was transferred from one block to another block, but no G.P has been assigned to the petitioner in the said order and he has been placed at the disposal of the concerned B.D.O.

5. Mr. S.K. Dalai, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that as provided under Section 122 of subsection (2) of The Odisha Grama Panchayat Act,1964, the Panchayat Executive Officers appointed under sub-section

(1) shall act as such within the local area of such Grama or Gramas as may be assigned to them by the Collector.

6. It is submitted that in the impugned order dated 12.7.2022, no G.P has been assigned to the petitioner who

// 2 // has been transferred from Bhawanipatna Block to Th.Rampur Block.

Considering the submissions made, this Court while interfering with the order dated 12.7.2022 directs the Collector, Kalahandi to pass a modified order by assigning the petitioner the Gram Panchayat coming under Th. Rampur Block where he will join within a period of 15 days from the date of receipt of this order.

Till such an order is issued by the Collector, Kalahandi status quo as on today with regard to continuance of the petitioner be maintained.
