Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the State.

The petitioner being a minor is represented through his father guardian in this writ application. He submitted an application for his admission to Class-VIII of Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya, Kondarkana. He appeared in the entrance test and according to him, he fared reasonably well. However, he has not yet been given admission, even though the academic session has already begun. It is further submitted that some seats are still vacant. Since nothing is forthcoming as to the reasons for not selecting the petitioner for admission, the writ application is disposed of granting liberty to the petitioner to approach the Collector-cum-Chairman, District

Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan, Cuttack (opposite party no.3) by submitting a representation within a week ventilating his grievance. If such a representation is submitted within the period as aforesaid, the Collector (opposite party no.3) shall consider the same and pass a lawful order after ascertaining the reasons for non-selection of the petitioner for admission into the school so far within a period of two weeks thereafter.

The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. 5.
