Heard learned counsel for the Parties.

The Writ Petition has been filed with the following prayer:- "(i) Direct the Opp.Party No.4 to recommend the name of Petitioner consideration for promotion to the rank of ORS, Group-B on or before 31.07.2022 pursuant to the letter dtd.29.06.2022, dtd.06.07.2022 & 07.07.2022 under Annexure-3 to 5 issued by the Opp.Parties in accordance with the relevant rules for the recruitment year 2021 as the petitioner is eligible to the said post by considering the representation submitted by the Petitioner under Annexure-6 on or before 31.07.2022 or within a time to be stipulated by this Hon'ble Court".

He further submits that through highlighting his grievances, the petitioner has filed an appeal on 13.07.2022 under Annexure-6 to the Writ Petition before the opposite party No.4 but till date nothing

// 2 // has been done in the matter. In such background, he prays that a direction be issued to opposite party no.4 to take a decision on the above noted petition within a specific time period.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs opposite party No.4 to take a decision on the above noted petition in accordance with law within a period of one month from the date of production of certified copy of this order and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner.
