The Petitioner in this writ petition prays for a direction to the NESCO Authority to restore power supply to his residence by setting aside the Letter No.97(3) dated 9th February, 2021 (Annexure-2 series) issued by the Assessing Officer-cum-S.D.O. (Electrical), Champua in the district of Keonjhar. 3.

Since the provisional assessment order under Section 126 (1) of the Electricity Act, 2003 has been communicated to the Petitioner vide Letter No.97(3) dated 9th February, 2021 (Annexure-2 series), the Petitioner has a remedy to file objection to the same and contest the provisional assessment. He can also pray for restoration of power supply before the Assessing Officer.

In that view of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with an observation that the Petitioner may work out his remedy in accordance with law.
