Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the State.

Instant petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is filed by the petitioner for a direction to the learned J.M.F.C., Bhubaneswar to expedite disposal of the proceeding in I.C. C. Case No. 4982 of 2017 within a stipulated period.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the evidence from the side of the complainant, namely, the petitioner stands over but then the defence is delaying in adducing evidence and the proceeding is pending ever since 2017 awaiting disposal. It is further submitted that defence is unnecessarily delaying in furnishing evidence and taking time which is delaying disposal of the complaint and therefore, necessary direction from this Court is necessary. Considering such limited prayer of the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned court below is hereby requested to expedite hearing of the case in I.C. C. Case No. 4982 of 2017 and ensure its disposal as early as possible preferably within a period of three months unless there is an impediment and in any case not later than 30th November, 2022 peremptorily.

Accordingly, it is ordered.

In the result, the CRLMC stands disposed of with the direction as above.
