Heard Mr. S. Behera , learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. B. Mohanty, learned Standing Counsel for School and Mass Education Department.

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking direction to the opposite parties to sanction her husband's leave of grievance to joining from 12.10.2018 to 09.06.2019.

Pursuant to notice issued, opposite party no.4-Block Education Officer, Phiringia has filed counter affidavit, paragraph13 whereof states as follows: "13.That it is humbly submitted that the period claims by the petitioner from the date of grievance to rejoining i.e. from 12.10.2018 to 9.6.2019 was the processing period of verification and inquiry as the period was pending under the then Block Development Officer, Phiringia and the leave and duty pay required for sanction are delayed due to wanting and collection of records as these were not available in this office. After collecting all the documents and verification report this deponent has been taken appropriate action for sanction of leave, duty pay and disbursement of the claims

period of the petitioner's husband. As the period of grievance to rejoining dtd. 12.10.2018 to 09.06.2019 was the processing period for verification and inquiry and Late Jethi (petitioner's husband) has not performed his regular duties for these period. The above period i.e. from 12.10.2018 to 09.06.2019 has been sanctioned as extra ordinary leave along with the leave sanction order as stated above".

In view of the above, since the grievance of the petitioner is under consideration by the opposite party authority, this Court disposes of the writ petition directing the opposite party authority to take a decision as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of communication/production of the certified copy of this order.
