This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction for release of vehicle bearing Registration No.OD-12-4961 (Mahindra Tractor), which has been seized in connection with a forest offence. 3.

It is submitted by Mr. Sahoo, learned counsel for the Petitioner that upon seizure of the aforesaid vehicle, confiscation proceeding in O.R. Case No.51 of 2020-21 has already been initiated in respect of the said vehicle. Hence, he submits that interest of justice will be best served, if a direction is made for early disposal of the confiscation proceeding.

Taking into consideration the submission made by learned counsel for the Petitioner, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction that the Petitioner is at liberty to move the Authorized Officer-cum-Asst. Conservator of Forest, Baliguda Forest Division, Kandhamal-Opposite Party No.3 for early disposal of the confiscation proceeding in O.R. Case No.51 of 2020-21. Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
