Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the State.

Instant petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is filed by the petitioner with a limited prayer to direct early closure of trial in G.R. Case No.77 of 2019 pending before the learned S.D.J.M., Khurda on the grounds stated therein.

It is submitted that the petitioner filed a complaint which was sent for registration of a case and accordingly, it was treated as an FIR and G.R. No.77 of 2019 was registered and finally, charge sheet was filed under Section 498-A IPC and other allied offences. A copy of the chargesheet is at Annexure-2 for Courts perusal. It is submitted that the accused husband is not paying maintenance and for that a proceeding is pending before the Judge, Family Court, Khurda and that apart in the meantime he has married without divorce. In view of the aforesaid facts, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the criminal which is pending before the court of learned S.D.J.M., Khurda may be expedited in the interest of justice.

Accordingly, it is ordered.

In the result, the CRLMC stands disposed of with a direction to the learned S.D.J.M., Khurda to ensure early disposal of G.R. Case No.77 of 2019 and unless there is any impediment, to ensure its closure preferably within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of the above order.

An urgent certified copy of this order be granted as per rules.
