Heard learned counsel appearing for the parties. Order No.

This writ petition involves a cause of action in the matter of providing police protection on some incident taking place in the month of April & May, 2020. Writ petition even though was filed on 6.8.2021, this Court finds the cause of action involving such direction has lost long since and the matter is taken up for fresh admission in March, 2022.

Undisputedly, the cause of action giving rise on letters under Annexures-4 and 5 to the writ petition is not surviving. In the event any cause of action still survives, it may be open to the petitioner to approach the competent authority who shall on receipt of the same, consider the necessity of police protection presently and pass appropriate order. Let application, if any, be filed within a period of seven days hence. 4.

The writ petition stands disposed of with the observation and direction made hereinabove.
