Heard learned counsel for Petitioner and learned counsel for the State-Opposite Parties.

The present Writ Petition has been filed with the following prayer:- "(i) This Hon'ble Court be graciously pleased to issue Rule Nisi calling upon the opposite parties to show cause as to why appropriate writ/writs shall not be issued quashing the selection of the Opposite Party No.8, as per the Merit List for selection of Community Cadres MBK dated 19.05.2022 under Annexure-3 for appointment against the post of Master Book Keeper (MBK) and as to why direction shall not be issued to the Opposite Parties to appoint the Petitioner against the said post in place of the Opposite Party No.8 and / or alternatively direct the Collector & District Magistrate, Dhenkanal to consider the grievance petition of the Petitioner vide Annexure-4 dated 20.05.2022, cause appropriate enquiry in the matter relating to the illegal selection made by the Selection Committee providing due opportunity of hearing to the Petitioner as well as the Opposite Party pass a reasoned order thereon".

He further submits that through highlighting his grievances, the petitioner has filed a representation on 20.05.2022 at Annexure-4 to the Writ Petition, before the opposite party No.1 but till date nothing has been done in the matter. In such background, he prays that a direction be issued to opposite party No.1 to take a decision on the above noted petition within a specific time period. 5.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs opposite party No.1 to take a decision on the above noted petition within a period of three months from the date of receipt of this order by giving a personal hearing to the Petitioner as well as Opposite Party No.5.

6. With the aforesaid observation and direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of.
