This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the State.

The petitioner is an accused in G.R Case No.202 of 2022, on the files of J.M.F.C., Ranpur, arising out of Chandpur P.S. Case No.71 of 2022, under Sections 379/411/420/420-B/34 of IPC read with Section 7 of the essential Commodities Act, 1955 and is in custody since 21.06.2022.

Being aggrieved by the rejection of their application for bail U/s.439 Cr.P.C. by the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Nayagarh, by order dated 21.07.2022 in the aforementioned case, the present BLAPL has been filed.

Perused the rejection order.

Taking into account the nature of allegations and the punishment prescribed and the period of custody since 21.06.2022,
this Court directs the petitioner to be released on bail on such terms to be fixed by the learned Court in seisin over the matter. 7.
Additionally, it is directed that he shall appear before the jurisdictional police station once every month till the conclusion of investigation.

Accordingly, the BLAPL stands disposed of.
