1. The challenge in the present petition by a private Insurance Company is to an award of the Permanent Lok Adalat (Public Utility Services) under Section 22 A (vi) read with Section 22 C of the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987. For the death of the insured, a sum of Rs.2,38,800/- has been awarded.

2. Considering the amount awarded and considering that this is the award of the Permanent Lok Adalat (PUS), the Court is not inclined to interfere with the award. The question of law, if any, is left open for decision in some other appropriate case. It is clarified that the impugned award will not constitute a precedent.
