Heard Mr. S.S. Dash, learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr. S.S. Pradhan, learned Additional Government Advocate. 2.

According to Mr.

Dash, though Plot No.285/417 pertaining to Khata No.6 of Kissam-Gharabari in MouzaPodhamunda in the district of Bolangir belonging to the petitioner No.1 was acquired by the authorities for the purpose of constructing Lower Suktel Water Irrigation Project, Bolangir and though a paltry sum has been given as compensation to them however, none of the petitioners has received other benefits as per the provisions of Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 read with Odisha Rehabilitation and Resettlement Policy, 2006.

During course of hearing, Mr. Dash submits that liberty may be granted to the petitioners to move the Collector-CumLand Acquisition Officer, Bolangir, (opposite party No.3) in the matter by filing a grievance petition and the said opposite party

// 2 // be directed to take a decision on such motion within a specific time period.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court grants liberty to the petitioner to file a grievance petition before the Collector-Cum-Land Acquisition Officer, Bolangir, (opposite party No.3) through registered post within a period of two weeks from today. In the event, such a petition is filed along with a copy of this order, the opposite party No.3 is directed to take a decision on the same in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of receipt of such grievance petition and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner. 5.

Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. 6.

Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
