Heard learned counsel for the Parties.

The Writ Petition has been filed with the following prayer:- "(i) It is therefore prayed that this Hon'ble Court may graciously be pleased to issue notice to the opp.parties calling upon them to file show cause as to why a direction shall not be issued to re-caste the gradation list of Senior Assistant of Kandhamal district as per marks secured by the candidates in the written and type test of the year 1996 and accordingly placed the petitioner above the opp.party no.3 and 4 as has already been extended to Ranjit Kumar Sahoo, pursuant to order passed by learned Orissa Administrative Tribunal, Cuttack in OA No.2137(C) of 2014 under Annexure-5 and after hearing the parties be pleased to direct the opp.party no.2 to re-fix the seniority of the petitioner above opp.party no.3 and 4 in the gradation list of Senior Revenue Assistant of Kandhamal district and release all service and financial benefit in favour of the petitioner. (ii) A further direction be issued to the opp.party No.2 recast the provisional gradation list of the Senior
// 2 // Assistant dated 16.6.2021 under Annexure-8 and publish the same after placement of the petitioner above opp.party no.3 and 4 and thereafter proceed for promotion to Section Officer".

He further submits that through highlighting his grievances, the petitioner has filed a representation on 06.06.2022 under Annexure-9 to the Writ Petition before the opposite party No.2 but till date nothing has been done in the matter. In such background, he prays that a direction be issued to opposite party no.2 to take a decision on the above noted petition within a specific time period.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs opposite party No.2 to take a decision on the above noted petition in accordance with law within a period of one month from the date of production of certified copy of this order and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner.
