This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for State.

The petitioner is an accused in S.T. No.289 of 2016 arising out of Lalbag P.S. Case No.20 of 2016, pending in the Court of learned 3rd Additional Sessions Judge, Cuttack, under Sections 498A/302/304-B/34 of IPC and Section 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act and is in custody since 12.02.2016.

Being aggrieved by the rejection of his application for bail U/s.439 Cr.P.C. by the learned 3rd Additional Sessions Judge, Cuttack, by order dated 20.06.2022 in the aforementioned case, the present BLAPL has been filed.

Taking into account that the trial at the fag end, this Court calls upon the learned Court in seisin over the matter to conclude the trial within a period of two months from the date of
receipt/production of certified copy of the order. In the event, the trial is not concluded within the time stipulated, it shall be open for the petitioner to move this Court afresh.

Accordingly the BLAPL stands rejected.
